The kaffe maintainer is my boss. He's had a new package available for 1.0.7,
but it had a few rough spots(it almost runs ant. However, since he compiled
it for native threads, Process.exec doesn't work).
I suggested making 2 packages to solve this. I also suggested splitting up
kaffe better into -common and -dev pkgs.
He hasn't yet done any of these. I'll pester him again when I see him.
