Hi all, DeMuDi got to the point (since our deadline is very close for creating a bootable DeMuDi CD) in which we must decide about the installer. Since DeMuDi is very specific (Multimedia) a set of defined applications will be installed and very little question will be asked. In fact, a part for partitioning (plus username+password creation) i dont think we will ask anything else and detection should do the rest. We will install ALSA as default sound driver so we will have to adapt discover for this and will be able to set up the ALSA conf file too (i think this little modification will pay back for all the Debian community too), no matter which installer we will decide to use...and here is the question: which installer? We are switching back on forward between Progeny and Debian Installer. Apart for asking the author, i would like to know if in this forum someone tried either one or the other...or even both and could give us some comments and impressions. thank you, marco trevisani -- ************************************************************************ * marco trevisani * * http://trevisani.mine.nu marco@centrotemporeale.it * * http://www.agnula.org -- A GNU/Linux Audio Distribution * * Neither MS-Word nor MS-PowerPoint attachments please: * * See http://www.fsf.org/philosophy/no-word-attachments.html * * Gpg Fingerprint = 6096 84B8 046C A5C9 B538 255E 9FFF 1121 3AFB FFA6 * ************************************************************************
