It also sucks that diff -r will recurse down a symlink (including
recursive ones...).  Are these symlinks pointing to "." actually useful?
Especially the apache one has been around for ages; I can understand
temporary / transitional ones, as the app-defaults one probably is(*),
but at some stage they should go away.

(*) although I can't imagine why something should try to access
/etc/X11/app-defaults/app-defaults/Foo.ad .
