libbfd
Greetings! Is there no way to have a package dynamically depend on
libbfd without rebuilding for every binutils release? Why does the
soname depend on the *full version* number of the binutils? I.e.,
isn't there a concept of a common API maintained across minor
releases?
Gcl needs binutils, and I'd like it to be able to transparently take
advantage of binutils improvements when they become available, to the
extent possible.
