Building guppi - what libs am I missing?

Hi,

	I'm getting the following errors from configure when I try to
build guppi from source :

*** The gdk-pixbuf-config script installed by GDK_PIXBUF could not be
found
*** If GDK_PIXBUF was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GDK_PIXBUF_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to gdk-pixbuf-config.
./configure: guile_msg: command not found

...and at the end I get the following status :

Configuration:

        Source code location:   .
        Compiler:               gcc 

        GNOME XML Version:      1.x

        Bonobo Support:         yes
        Python Support:         yes
        Gnumeric Support:       no. missing GNOME App Libs (GAL)

        Built-in Profiling:     no
        Build API Docs:         no

	Yet, on my system, I do have :

	and libguile6, libguil6-dev, and guile1.3 are installed. 

	After searching through the list of gnome related packages, and
the guile packages, I'm still at a loss to figure out what I am missing.
Any ideas?
