pam_console is one of several RedHat modules that have not been fed back
into the upstream (even though RedHat includes them in the core PAM
package).  The module I'm particularly interested in seeing available for
Debian is pam_xauth -- how nice it would be if I could su to run ethereal
without having to do a .Xauthority dance...
