I'd be happy to give an opinion. However, based on this one message
and the bug report, I can't figure out what the contentious issue is.

It is evident to me that the (programmer) docs and example code does
not belong in the runtime libgmp3 package.

Christian seems to be asking that they get moved to the -dev package,
which seems logical enough to me.

Dale seems to be arguing that a new -doc package should be created,
and the docs moved there, instead. To me, that seems like overkill.
But if the packager (Dale) is doing the work, who am I to argue?

If Dale has agreed to do move the docs (either to -dev or to -doc),
that seems to me to answer the bug report. I don't understand what
question Christian's posting to -devel is supposed to raise.
