Re: horse carcas flogging (was: traceroute in /usr/bin, not /usr/sbin)



I'm getting seriously sick of this. So. Since theres a LSB bof here at USENIX I'm going to ask about what people here at the bof think about the issue. It has some interesting reprucussions on these 'could be used by non-admins for legit uses' binaries and I think its a wortwhile topic to take outside of debian and gain some sort of 'general concensous' from the larger circle of LSB followers. I'm not saying to implement what ever the concensous is, but to throw another 'outside' opinoin into the fire.

Does this make any sense?
