People were running Linux on Alpha boxen before Tru64 was even a gleam in Compaq's evil eye! I remember, a former roommate of mine had an Alpha c. January 1996, and his (official) options were NT and OSF/1. He chose neither and put Linux on the machine. :) Is Tru64 descended from Digitual Unix? -- G.
