Gnome Mozilla

Can someone with experience building gnome apps look at the gnome
front end to mozilla? (I assume this is not direction Jim wants to go
with his gnome load :) .)
Does anyone know how stable it is ? I have seen a screenshot, so
it starts up, at least.
I tried to build it a few hours before Jim's new upload. They may
have been using a more recent gnome release, I don't know. I ended up
having many problems. I didn't ever get it to finish compiling. One
thing I could have tried is g++272 instead of g++ (the upstream people use
 2.7.2, I think).
You have to get the source via cvs, (gnomefe source is not in the
tarballs). Instructions for building are at
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/autoconf/
Note the flag --enable-fe=FE1,FE2 (use 'gnome') at the bottom of the page.
Instructions are not in the source tree anywhere. I can answer a few
questions.
I built the motif front end linked against lesstif, and it was not
very stable.
