orphaning/removing xtoolplaces ?

I just uploaded xtoolplaces-1.6. It fixes all bugs but one: It still
coredumps instead of doing something useful. The upstream author's
e-mail address bounces, Redhat doesn't provide it and I never used it.

(Wild guess: The problem might be due to read-only argv[][] in
libc6. It might have worked with libc5.)

So:
Does anyone use xtoolplaces?

Is anyone interested in maintaining it?

Is anyone aware of a current upstream maintainer?

Otherwise xtoolplaces has to be removed from Debian.
