It was Cc'ed directly to me and a couple of other people; when you
know I read debian.devel, I take that as a personal address.

No, I didn't say that.  What I said was that Lintian *didn't* find
these bugs, or rather they were already fixed _without_ Lintian's
involvement and the constant (implied or otherwise) claim that
``Lintian helped you fix these bugs!'' grates.

I *don't *have a problem with lintian; I *don't* have a problem with
lintian filing bugs that are already fixed (I made one throw-away
comment about it in my closing message of the bugs, that's all), but I
*do* have a problem with _anyone_ making the kind of claims I think
you made about the way I handle my packages.

Anyway, I've said all I'm going to say on this issue.
