Package: dpkg Version: 1.0.11 Yesterday, I had several core dumps from dpkg -i. I've saved the dumps, and mailed one to Ian J. There didn't seem to be any particular pattern -- if I had to guess I'd say that dumps were more likely when a large number of packages where specified on the command line. In at least one of these dumps the .list files for the packages being installed were left in some kind of truncated (empty?) state. -- Raul
