Bugs #1071, #1498, and #1740 - nvi dumps core

   * #1071: nvi segfaults with unknown TERM
     Package: nvi ; Reported by: mitchell@mdd.comm.mot.com (Bill
     Mitchell); 205 days old .
   * #1498: nvi-1.34.7 and termcap problem
     Package: nvi ; Reported by: Marek Michalkiewicz
     <marekm@i17linuxb.ists.pwr.wroc.pl>; 116 days old .
   * #1740: nvi segfaults on unknown TERM
     Package: nvi ; Reported by: Bernd S. Brentrup
     <bsb@uni-muenster.de>; 90 days old .
----
All three of the above bug reports are for nvi core dumping when
TERM is set to a non-existent terminal. With nvi-1.34-11, *and*
with ncurses3.0, this does not happen; instead, you get the
error message:

  Error: newterm failed: Invalid argument.

This seems to indicate that it was actually the old version of
ncurses that was dumping core. I am closing the bug reports.

If anybody can reproduce the error with nvi-1.34-11 and
ncurses3.0, please submit a new report.
