[ITP] vile: VI Like Emacs - vi work-alike
I have created a set of packages for the vile editor which I was hoping
to have included in potato.
deb-src http://www.ozemail.com.au/~bod/debian unstable non-free
deb http://www.ozemail.com.au/~bod/debian unstable non-free
A Debian developer, Mikolaj Habryn has offered to sponsor these
packages.
Notes:
* Brian Sulcer has a 995 day old entry in prospective-packages for vile
which I assume is dead.
* The copyright currently requires that this package be placed in
non-free, although the next release (which is due anytime now) will
be under the GPL.

Description: VI Like Emacs - vi work-alike
vile is a text editor which is extremely compatible with vi in terms of
``finger feel''. In addition, it has extended capabilities in many areas,
notably multi-file editing and viewing, syntax highlighting, key rebinding,
an optional embedded perl interpreter, and real X window system support.
.
This package contains the character-mode binary. Required support files
are contained in vile-common. Source code highlighting filters are in
vile-filters. X11 binaries are in the xvile-xt, xvile-xaw and xvile-xm
packages.
