We had OPIE packages in one of the previous releases; presumably, the
debianisation diffs can be found via http://archive.debian.org/ .

I suspect that OTP via PAM is a less intrusive, and possibly more flexible
way of doing things. (E.g. force OTP only if the connection attempts
originates outside the LAN that's considered safe)
