There are things you can't do if you're not a DD- you can't upload packages to Debian. There's nothing to stop you from setting up your own site people can add to their sources.list; *lots* of people have done it. Debian provides you with all the tools you need. In the time you've spent on this thread you could have done it, easily. Claiming on mailing lists of all the great things you'd do if only you were a DD is a bunch of wasted breath. If you've got the time and skill to do it then do it and show us how great it is. If you don't then you're going to have to wait till someone who does steps up. Being a DD would maybe save you 30 seconds of time spent setting up the repository itself. Stephen
