Same for me. That was the final error message:

Upload to auric.debian.org failed, last exit status 1
Error messages:
Permission denied.

lost connection
acpid_1.0.1-8_i386.changes couldn't be uploaded for 8 times now.
Giving up and removing it and its associated files:
  acpid_1.0.1-8.dsc, acpid_1.0.1-8.diff.gz, acpid_1.0.1-8_i386.deb
