I fully believe that this is a good and correct approach to things.

Having read it, I'd say "Stick to your guns mate" -- I find -source
packages irritating and unnecessary. If I want source, the source
archives are there. I knew this well before I considered becoming a
debian developer, and many of my friends worked it out without
prompting.

I find the linux-wlan-ng packages to be well-maintained and easy to use.
I am worried that this may deteriorate if you do not continue to
maintain them.
