granted, the folks who are in this situation shouldn't just be
disregarded.  but i do agree that tailoring the entire distribution,
including amending the fhs, for a few corner case packages for which
there's only a small percentage of users that have a problem with it
just doesn't seem right.

does anyone have a definitive list of the rcS scripts between S35mountall.sh
and S45mountnfs.sh?  unfortunately apt-file won't be helpful for this...
i'd be interested to see just how many scripts there are, and of these
scripts, how many have problems, and of these, just how many couldn't
be solved in some non-intrusive way.
