Installation = Velvet Rope

I think you should cancel the debian-installer project, or at least
significantly delay it.

Debian is a night club, filled with beautiful people. Beautiful for their
contributions to the progress of technology for humanity.

Many droolers at the door scream "We want in!" "Gimme!" "Free means what I
think, Right?" "I heard my mouse won't work with Debian!"

Is the nightclub going to shut down without the ugly people?

Of course not.

Chances are that if you can't install the system with a few hints to the
right documentation, or the (seemingly) always available online help... one
would never get through the New Maintainer process.

Installation is the Velvet Rope, keeping out the hopelessly clueless.

P.S. If you were Microsoft, and you wanted to destroy Debian, what would you
do to the user/developer base? Just asking.

P.P.S. I almost(?) went insane installing Debian. I could not believe how
many times I messed it up! I have compiled way over 150 kernels. Maybe I
just don't want anyone to have an easy time, because I did not. This
information is provided purely for completeness, I do not believe this
theory on the motivations for this post.
