The mailserver at the uni here checks the RBL's and adds a 
'X-Would-Be-Blocked-By:'-header, so users can do whatever they want with it
in their .procmailrc, for example. Pretty neat, imho. I save
would-be-blocked mails to a seperate mailbox, and it hasn't got it wrong
as yet.
