I bet it's any "high ascii" character.

The solution to this problem is simple though, sent lots of messages with a 
From: address of <postmaster@stupid-isp.co.uk> to the "remove" addresses on 
spams.

Then when all the spam starts rolling in the administrator will kill their 
mail server every time they check their mail and thus they will be forced to 
fix it.

There is no point PGP/GPG signing an email unless the signature can be
verified.  If you post to a list then don't sign the message unless your
key is available on public key servers and has been signed by someone
who is in the web of trust, otherwise you just waste bandwidth and CPU.
