Lot's of talk about implementing the wheel again.

We already have a (couple) of MTA's. If the user can't be bothered
or knowledgeable enough to configure their mail system, I wouldn't
trust their bug report either.

I sent a mail to some mailinglist a couple of weeks ago. I got back
a autoreply from one of it's member saying:

Your e-mail message with the subject of "Re: Confusing DNS problems (urgent)."
is being held because this is the first time you write to me.
(at least since 06/04/02)

To release your message for delivery and to ensure
that you are not a spam robot :-), please simply
reply to this message.

The "reply" button of your email client should do that just fine.
Otherwise you can simply send an empty message to:

   USERNAME-confirm-1031675959.21512.937c19@DOMAIN.TLD

Any further email you will wrirte to me at USERNAME@DOMAIN.TLD or USERNAME2@DOMAIN2.TLD
will be delivered directly to me.

Thank you.

The 'X-Delivery-Agent' said 'TMDA/0.56', and at the bottom I found

[ This notice was generated by TMDA/0.56 (http://tmda.sf.net/). ]
----- s n i p -----

Very easy, simple, non-abusive and very friendly! Don't know if this
is free or not, but the idea is good! MANY (?) of the bugs are sent
by the same people.

Also (the reason why I brought it up in the first place) there are
a _LOT_ of spams! It's getting worse! All those bugs make 'Debian
GNU/Linux look bad'...

Again, if the user can't configure their mail system, they are not
knowledgeable enough to be trusted about a bug report!
