See bug #70581 : when you install type 1 fonts with tetex, you have to change /etc/texmf/dvips/updmap and launch it again to regenerate pdftex.map, ps2pk.map and psfonts.map. But these 4 files are conffiles for tetex-base, so it is forbidden to do this at the package installation. The updmap script HAS to provide a way to register new fonts, and the package should generate the 3 .map files at postinst time. -- .''`.
