ITO: several packages available for adoption
for various reasons, not least of which is that i don't wish to be
pestered by frivolous bug reports, the following packages are up for
adoption:
these ones are simple, single-binary packages:
dhcp-dns Dynamic DNS updates for DHCP
timeoutd Flexible user timeout daemon
vtun Virtual Tunnel over TCP/IP Networks
libtext-template-perl Text::Template perl module
jdresolve fast alternative to apache logresolve
libfile-tail-perl File::Tail perl module
libdevel-symdump-perl Perl module for inspecting perl's symbol table
these two come from the same source package:
speedy-cgi-perl speed up perl scripts by making them persistent.
libapache-mod-speedycgi apache module to speed up perl scripts by making
them persistent.
the only (minor) hassle with them is that because they build-depend
on apache-dev, they require libdb2-dev to be installed....which may
be a problem if you need to work on packages that require libdb3-dev.
no doubt this problem will go away within a few months if apache-dev
becomes dependant on libdb3-dev instead.
finally, i'd prefer it if Lamont took this one. there doesn't seem to be
any good way of keeping it in sync with his new style postfix-* packages
otherwise:
postfix-tls A high-performance mail transport agent with RFC2487 encryption
it was always my intention that postfix-tls should disapear and/or be
merged into the main postfix package when it was OK to have crypto in
US/main, anyway.
