That KDE hint really sucks, at one point I ended up with an Apps/KDE
section.
I now have overrides in /etc/menu for all installed packages with a KDE
hint.
Can someone please file bugs to get that hint removed from all packages.

You can't, kwin does not support switching to another window manager.
