	We have a project in Brazil to translate Debian to portugues with
more than twenty people helping. We want to dpkg, dselect, apt support 
descriptions in portuguese.

Hi,

The state of i18n in dpkg or apt is an issue for those individual packages,
not the project pseudo-package... and if you want the descriptions
translated, that would require an implementation in dpkg/apt, and a policy
blessing.
