Hang on a second there, hoss!  YOU were the first one who pointed out that
ifconfig belonged in /sbin... Since the mailinglist archives strips the
message ID, all I can give you is the DTG: Thu, 14 Jun 2001 19:20:00
+1000.  So we have you using an example that is clearly contraindicated,
then using the correction as fodder to prove that the FHS is
contradictory.  Might I suggest that we use Ockham's Razor and come to the
conclusion that it is vastly more probable that you are the one in error
about the FHS rather than the whole of the FHS steering committee?
