boot files for MTX+

Dear Debian Developers,

I read about your effort to provide installation binaries for PowerPC.  I am 
working on a Motorola MTX+ embedded PPC box.  I note that you report in your 
article

http://www.debian.org/ports/powerpc/inst/prep

that "MTX+ (7 PCI slot MTX system) cannot boot this kernel, it hangs on the 
IDE driver initialization. This is under investigation."  I wonder if any 
progress was made.  I attempted to use the kernel and found that it does in 
fact hang on the IDE initialization.  May I contact the maintainer directly?
