Can't sign my packages

My not-so-recently-built woody system is now building my packages, but
dpkg-buildpackage isn't able to sign the required components:

dpkg-deb: building package `ae' in `../ae_962-28_i386.deb'.
 signfile ae_962-28.dsc
gpg: skipped `Dale Scheetz <dwarf@polaris.net>': secret key not available
gpg: [stdin]: clearsign failed: secret key not available

However, I'm having no trouble signing files outside dpkg:

Using: gpg --clearsign <ae_962-28.dsc >ae_962-28.dsc.signed

gpg requests my pass-phrase and properly signs the file.

The only thing I can see different is that dpkg-buildpackage is being run
using fakeroot. Is this the cause of the problem?

In the mean time, can I sign them "by hand" after the package build?

Gag, I feel like a newbee every time I use gnupg ;-)

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks,

Dwarf
