please no -- this is what redhat does, and it's incredibly agrivating
to not have all the architectures' kernel source included in the
kernel sorurce packages.

when you install kernel source you expect it's the actual kernel
source.

Could we add a feature to dpkg so as to allow architecture specific
dependencies for an Architecture: all package?

Depends: bin86 <i386>

?

the good thing is, you don't need bin86 anymore for 2.4 kernels, as
the asm code was re-written using gas!
