strace does not show you much here. It only gives you the system calls (to the
kernel) not the library calls (to the libc and friends). Moreover, sun (or
formaly Stardevision) uses a bunch of shellscripts to set environment
variables. I do not understand how they affact ltrace (which traces libary
calls!) but the result is, that I do not see any output from ltrace when I
ltrace staroffice's authentification process.
