devfs timestamp is wrong

I compiled and mounted devfs, and it works perfectly (good job).  My only problem is that the timestamp says that it was created/modified a day before the epoch...

>12:23:37> [xsdg@~]$ls -l / | grep dev
>drwxr-xr-x    1 root     root            0 Dec 31  1969 dev/

Is this a bug, or is there some way to fix it?
