never did any changes to inetd.conf and similar.

Please contact the maintainers of openssh and ssh-nonfree. They will
surely have at least some experience with related packages.
(Not that I think it would be a great problem but we are in deepfrozen
state and I really don't like to introduce more bugs in a packages I'm not
used to)
