Package: debian-installer
severity: critical

Downloaded and tested images:

1) debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso from 2013-07-01
2) firmware-testing-amd64-netinst.iso from 2013-07-08

downloaded from
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/weekly-builds/amd64/iso-cd/

and
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/weekly-builds/amd64/iso-dvd/

Problem:
After burning and starting, I can select from the first menu. I try
textbased, grafical and expert install. Every time I just can hit
enter, the dialog for choosing language appears - then the system is
frozen. Only restartable with hardware button.

My system:

I tried to use graphical and textual install. In both cases all have
worked. This installer seems to be OK for Jessie too!
Thanks for the testing. Since it works again, I'm closing bug #715408.

By the way:
But the network (DHCP) does not worked. While the 7.2 Release tell me,
that it need the rtlwifi/rtl8192cufw.bin file, this testing release does
missing nothing but cannot find the DHCP server.

Its a TP-LINK Model TL-WN821N (300 Mbps).
I have noticed similar problems and reported them as bug #725714 (CCed).
It looks like a bug in the linux kernel.

Best regards,
Andreas
