Bug#724933: Grub2-Multiboot-ISO-USB: apt-setup service failed

Package: debian-installer
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

When installing from the Debian netinstall ISO using Grub2's loopback method, and manually mounting the ISO to /cdrom, the installation process gets stuck at apt-setup only printing:
'apt-setup: /usr/lib/apt-setup/generators/50mirror backed up'

This problem has occurred in the past:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-live/2011/05/msg00168.html
http://lists.debian.org/debian-live/2011/06/msg00030.html

From these posts I concluded, that the problem was the line 58
'db_metaget apt-setup/use/netinst description'
in the file /usr/lib/apt-setup/generators/50mirror.

I do not know what this line is supposed to do and I couldn't find the documentation for 'db_metaget', but I accidentally found a workaround: Inserting the new line 'warning()' just above the 'db_metaget'-line solves the problem.

Please include this workaround in the netinstall ISO, or find a better (i.e. more understandable) way to solve the problem.

Thanks,
Andreas
