Package: debian-installer Severity: minor Version: 20120930 Hi, Question about screenshot which was taken during installation. In /var/log/installer, screenshots are not able to touch normal users as its permission. Is it intend? total 752 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Oct 17 20:49 . drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 4096 Oct 17 20:40 .. -rw------- 1 root root 30792 Oct 17 20:27 Xorg.0.log drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Oct 17 20:27 cdebconf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 28571 Oct 17 20:27 hardware-summary -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 156 Oct 17 20:27 lsb-release -rw------- 1 root root 29444 Oct 17 20:27 netcfg_dhcp_failed_0.png -rw------- 1 root root 43964 Oct 17 20:27 netcfg_dhcp_options_0.png -rw------- 1 root root 248864 Oct 17 20:27 partman -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 68048 Oct 17 20:27 status -rw------- 1 root root 291654 Oct 17 20:27 syslog If so, I want it to be changed to be readable for normal user, first created user during install, at least. The reason is, if user want to check screenshots after install, they must use "su" (or use sudo if they didn't add a password to root). -- Regards, Hideki Yamane henrich @ debian.or.jp/org http://wiki.debian.org/HidekiYamane

tags 690919 + moreinfo tags 696418 + confirmed reassign 715158 pcmciautils-udeb severity 561734 wishlist tags 690918 +wontfix thanks Hi, thank you for submitting bug reports concering debian-installer, much appreciated. I read through all the bugs mentioned here (and I'm sure they were read by several people at the time they were submitted) and am closing them now as/if - they (finally) indicated success and/or - I know from first hand experience that the functionality is working in Wheezy and/or - they only contained very little information and/or - they contained user errors and/or - they have been from a development phase where things were not stable and/or - they are very old and/or - they are wishlist but rather special + exotic and not have been acted on for years. (See http://blog.liw.fi/posts/wishlist-bugs/ why it's often useful to close wishlist bugs.) If I've closed a bug incorrectly please do reply (it's easy to reopen and I'll do if requested) or just file a new one - and that's often better, as the bug log will be clearer and shorter and not contain cruft. cheers, HolgerAttachment: signature.asc
