Bug#511896: Problem maybe related to debootstrap

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hello,

I believe, that I had run into the same problem when I tried to
install Debian 7.1 on a PC which hosted SUSE Linux.
This PC had /home on /dev/sda3, which I had choosen to reuse as /home
without reformating.
In the next step the debian-installer attempted to install the base
system. But it failed with no meaningfull error message.
So I tried to run debootstrap manually in a console:

debootstrap wheezy /target /cdrom/debian/dists/wheezy
But debootstrap failed with an error message, which said, that it
can't access /cdrom/debian/dists/wheezy/Release.
But this file exists and is readable.

I have finally succeeded with the instalation, after starting over but
not readding the old /home.

Greetings
	Juergen
