My fault. That happened in the middle of a big bunch of changes to add all hunspell-* packages to language tasks. Very likely, I did the change adding Danish hunspell , then did not commit it (nor documented it in changelog by the way), then went to changes to the French tasks....and both got committed at the same time. In short: that's part of bubulle's failures with git here or there... > - pushed 8882a17e2d8ce0767ea07fb0a86c70fecb7d08a9 to fix a few > typos. Amharic needs input methods just like some CJK languages. This patch was meant to replace obsoleted SCIM by another better supported input method. So, it's logical that the Amharic task gets changes as well (one has to know anyway that the support for Amharic is probably quite loosely tested since the beginning in Debian. Just like many languages, I sometimes wonder whether at least one native person in the world does test the installer in the said languages..:-)) I took Aron Xu's advice as authoritative on these input methods issues as I personnally know nothing about input methods..:-)
