That list may show the user which option they have, but still no guide
which to choose. I was more thinking about something like this:

There's a long debate in the comments below the article. It doesn't seem
to be an easy question - 32 or 64 bit. But some facts will hopefully
help users to make a decisions - such as this or that does or does not
work with 64 bit or speed is only affected in certain situations. Some
things, such as compatibility, do, of course, change with time, so if
the Installation Guide is too static to include such things maybe a
pointer to a wiki page or IRC channel might help.

I will reinstall debian on two machines and the server machine doesn't
support 64 bit, so that's an easy decision. But for my desktop ... I'm
still not decided.
