I tried to install Debian/Testing from DVDs that I had made (jigdo)
of the snapshot on 2012/02/06. I used the expert mode of the installer.
When I tried to save the debug log (menu item within the installer)
to a mounted disk (USB drive, vfat), I got this error message:

An installation step failed. ...
The failing step is: Save debug logs
