I have managed to get the netra back to life, and have installed lenny
on it successfully.

I've done a dist-upgrade to squeeze, which does now work, but in the
first boot it complained it couldn't fsck a couple of partitions
because they were in use and dropped me to a maintenance prompt.
Rebooting did fix it, strangely enough.

I might have a look at how the boot.img is generated to see if it's
something I can sort out, I don't like the idea of only having lenny
to build from, what happens when that gets moved to
archive.debian.org?
