Question on booting debian-installer on PowerPC G4

[This is a followup from debian-powerpc mailing list]

Hi there,

 I am trying to install debian on a PowerPC MacMini G4 using the following iso:

http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.5/powerpc/iso-cd/debian-505-powerpc-netinst.iso

 I burned this image on a Imation CD-R, which I check using the following:

$ md5sum debian-505-powerpc-netinst.iso
86268f3a463460828ec12831d6520df7  debian-505-powerpc-netinst.iso

$ isoinfo -d -i /dev/cdrom
CD-ROM is in ISO 9660 format

 However my mac refuse to boot from that cdrom. By any change do you
guys have any information on how to debug this situation, i am quite
unfamiliar with Apple Harddrive.

 To repeat what I said on the debian-powerpc, I tried the following media:

- Imation CD-RW 80min
- Maxell CD-R 80min

Boot method used:
- Holding 'C' before reboot
- Holding 'Option' during reboot
- Holding 'Option'+'Command'+o+f

 I could not find any combination working. When I tried booting from
the open firmware:

"Apple PowerMac10, 1 4.8.9f4 BootROM build on 03/23/05 at 14:22:23"

the command: boot cd:,\\:tbxi keeps on reporting:

0 > boot cd:,\\tbxi DISK-LABEL: read block0 failed
ATAPI-DISK: open of DISK-LABEL failed can't open: cd:,\\tbxi
Can't open device or file
0 > eject cd: ok
0 > boot cd:,\\tbxi DISK-LABEL: read block0 failed
ATAPI-DISK: open of DISK-LABEL failed can't open: cd:,\\tbxi
Can't open device or file

Does this ring a bell to anyone ?

Thanks, and sorry for cross posting
