Bug#485867: Lenny beta 2 i386 will not boot

So you never see the boot splash screen of the installer, correct?

Yes, that is correct.

Do you see anything else, maybe a line with the version of isolinux flashing by on the display?

I have not observed anything else flashing by, but it might be too fast for me to notice.

What was the version of isolinux on the last working netinst you tried (if you can still check that)? Was that a Beta1 image or a daily built image?

I'm not sure how to find the version of isolinux. But the previous (March 8, 2008) CD I had which *did* boot OK has this in the .disk/info file:

Debian GNU/Linux testing "Lenny" - Official Snapshot i386 NETINST Binary-1 20080308-09:02

I hope that helps. If there is more info that I can give you, let me know exactly where/how to find it. As mentioned previously, yesterday's daily build *did* work OK, install was successful.

Regards,
Don
