do

  cat /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent-net.rules
  cp /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent-net.rules /root/netdevicedefinition.backup

next

  $EDITOR /etc/udev/rules.d/z25_persistent-net.rules

and swap eth0 and eth1
save the modified rules file
reboot

eth0 should now be the wired one
