This may be a bug in the input handling subsystem of DFB, we already had a lot of preoblems with it in the past we fixed.
In order to detect what's the input peripheral that causes DFB to crash, could you please try unplugging the numeric keypad and the wireless mouse receiver and see if the graphical installer still crashes?
If the installer should still crash, is there a way to disable from bios the trackpoint and test again ?
