3.4 Network Settings

	Reading your manual with a view to installing Kubuntu on my two computers and 
building a radio networked home theatre system, it was comforting to see your 
statement at the beginning of section 1.8 that 
		 " This document is meant to serve as a manual for first time Ubuntu users -
						- - who - -
		- have a  general understanding of how the hardware in your computer works "

	Then in section 3.4
		"- - you should ask your network's system administrator - - "

	Could you please explain under what circumstances anyone who fitted your 
description in section 1.8   would be, themselves, installing a new and 
completely different Operating System into a network which was under the 
control of a System Administrator

	Which,  if anyone is still speaking to me,   brings us to the Information 
missing from section 3.4  explaining how our user with two or three machines 
called say George, Mary and Isobel on a network we could call Jackson 
actually can decide on the IP addresses and netmask they need.
	Information from the ISP for the Internet connection  yes  but surely this  
user should be learning how to become the Network Manager themselves
