Also, from the .udeb list, it is clear you are running a 2.6.15 kernel. Mmm,
this dl-runtime.c error is supsisious, don't know why it is there, maybe still
an initramfs-tools problem after all.

Now, i don't know why base-installer doesn't provide the verbose version of
the initramfs-tools output.
