Bug#261232: Installation Report

Hi,

I had a chance today to play with a z/VM system. Not entirely sure what
much of the actual hardware is.

I installed using the 'etch beta 2' installer files.
i.e. /debian/dists/testing/main/installer-s390/beta2/images/generic/

Comments:

* s390-dasd
  - The menu is a bit confusing to use. The list contains a list of DASD
    devices, with "Quit" as the very last list item. The only dialog
    button available is "Go Back". To go to the next step, you must
    select the "Quit" item (which might be hidden if there are many
    devices).
  - In addition, all the other menus use "Finish" instead of "Quit" for
    moving onto the next step.
* partitioning
  - No "Go Back" button.
  - Similarly to above, "Finish" is the last item in the disk list,
    which may be hidden with too many entries.
* configure and mount partitions
  - The "Go Back" button does not perform any action; you stay on the
    same menu.
  - While there are "Finish" and "Abort" list items, the dialog
    instruction text makes specific note about them and what they do.

Problems:
* Not an installer problem, but prevents it from completing.
  The current s390-tools package (1.5.1-1) depends on libsysfs1 which
  does not currently exist.

When the above problem is resolved and I still have the system
available, I'll try again and report on the progress.

If there are any items you'd like me to keep a watch for, please let me
know.  Thanks.
